A little about me:
My name is Anthony Jong, I am a piano teacher.
I've been teaching piano since 1999. Without I realize, it's been almost 10 years, but I still enjoy every bits of my job very much.

My journey of music started when I was five.  I remember my very first music instrument was a tiny Casio keyboard, 2 octaves in length with the keys the size of macaroni.
A year later, my father introduced me to Electric Organ.  I think he saw my interest and desire in music since I kept on playing my Casio from dawn to night,  I even brought my Casio with me when I slept at night.

I learnt Electric Organ (aka Electone) at Yamaha Music Center.  I learnt in a small class with other kids and successfully passed several levels a year.  I guess one of the reasons of my rapid progression was that my parents were always behind supporting me (i.e. yell at me when I skip practice).  When I was in 7th grade, I decided to stop my study (I was on level 7 at that time).  I thought I had enough skills and was able to teach myself.  Time proved that I was partly wrong and right.  I taught myself by listening a lot of music and trying to playback what I heard, but I also realized that there were so many things I couldn't learn by self-teaching.  I returned to Yamaha Music two years later, and met my very inspiring teacher: Mr. Agus Danamihardja.  He was the one that taught me how to -- not only play music, but love music.

'Till now I never stop loving music and that is the first thing the way I want my student to feel.
